
Jayam(2003)
Jayam is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by Mohan Raja in his Tamil debut. The film stars Ravi Mohan, Sadha, and Gopichand in their first Tamil ventures, with Gopichand and Sadha reprising their roles from the 2002 Telugu original. Set in the village of Pushpathoor, the story follows Ravi, a poor tutor who falls in love with Sujatha, a rich girl betrothed to her childhood friend Raghu. Raghu, now an arrogant rogue, tries to force Sujatha into marriage, leading to a violent confrontation. The film is known for its emotional mother-son bond, intense hand-to-hand combat climax, and the transformation of a timid boy into a fearless fighter. Jayam released on 21 June 2003 to mixed reviews but became a sleeper hit at the box office.

Storyline
Ravi, a poor village tutor, falls in love with Sujatha, a rich college student. But Sujatha is already promised to Raghu, her arrogant childhood friend. When Raghu learns about their love, he beats Ravi and threatens his mother. Ravi must find the courage to fight Raghu and win Sujatha before it is too late.
