'Ramanaa' is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The film stars Vijayakanth in the lead role, with Simran in a cameo appearance and Ashima Bhalla in a supporting role. The story follows a college professor who forms a secret vigilante group with his former students to kidnap and kill corrupt government officials. The film was produced by V. Ravichandran under the Aascar Films banner and features music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It received positive reviews from critics and became a commercial success at the box office. 'Ramanaa' won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film, and Murugadoss won the award for Best Dialogue Writer. The film was released on 4 November 2002.

Storyline
A mild-mannered college professor named Ramanaa loses his family in a building collapse caused by corruption. He forms a secret vigilante group called the Anti-Corruption Force with his former students. Together, they kidnap and kill the most corrupt government officials. But when his students are captured and tortured, Ramanaa must decide how far he is willing to go for justice.
