Aanandham(2001)
Aanandham is a 2001 Tamil-language drama film directed by N. Lingusamy in his debut. The ensemble cast includes Mammootty, Murali, Abbas, Devayani, Rambha, and Sneha. The story follows four brothers living in a joint family in Kumbakonam, where the eldest brother Thirupathisamy holds the family together through financial hardship and internal conflicts. The film explores themes of sacrifice, forgiveness, and the strength of family bonds. It received positive reviews and won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Film. The movie was a major commercial success and was later remade in Telugu as Sankranti. It was released on 25 May 2001.

Storyline
Thirupathisamy runs a provision store and keeps his large joint family united. His younger brother Kannan falls in love with Viji, the daughter of a rich and arrogant man. When family tensions rise and a child falls dangerously ill, Thirupathi must reveal his secret sacrifices to save both the family's peace and Kannan's love.
