Dosth is a 2001 Tamil-language action-crime film directed by S. A. Chandrasekaran. The film stars R. Sarathkumar, Abhirami, Raghuvaran, and Prakash Raj in a dual role. It follows Vishwanathan, a wealthy man framed for murder by his greedy best friend Raghu. After being sentenced to seven years in prison, Vishwa escapes to rescue his daughter from Raghu's clutches. The film is an unofficial remake of the 1999 American film Double Jeopardy. It received mixed reviews, with critics praising Raghuvaran's performance but noting its slow pace and similarities to the original. Dosth was released on 29 June 2001.

Storyline
A wealthy man named Vishwa trusts his best friend Raghu completely. Raghu fakes his own death and frames Vishwa for murder. Vishwa is sent to prison. When he learns Raghu has kidnapped his daughter, he escapes jail and hunts down his former friend to save his child.
