'Anthapuram' (1999) is a Tamil action thriller film directed by Krishna Vamsi. It stars Soundarya, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, and Mansoor Ali Khan in lead roles. The story follows Bhanu, a woman from Mauritius who becomes trapped in her husband's violent feudal household in Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, after his death. The film is a partial remake of Vamsi's own Telugu film 'Anthahpuram' (1998), which won nine Nandi Awards and three Filmfare Awards South including Best Film – Telugu. Known for its intense portrayal of factional violence and a mother's desperate struggle, the film received critical acclaim for its performances and direction. It was released in Tamil in 1999.

Storyline
