
Sethupathi IPS(1994)
Sethupathi IPS is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language political action film written and directed by P. Vasu and produced by AVM Productions. The film stars Vijayakanth as the titular Deputy Commissioner of Police, alongside Meena, M. N. Nambiar, Srividya, and Kaveri. The story follows a police officer who uncovers a terrorist plot to assassinate the Prime Minister and later faces a personal vendetta when the terrorists target his family. The film is notable for its high-octane action sequences, including a stunt involving 70 cars shot over 18 days, and Vijayakanth performing a clock tower climb without a stunt double. It received mixed critical reviews but was a commercial success, becoming one of Vijayakanth's biggest hits of the decade. The film was released on 14 January 1994 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline
Deputy Commissioner Sethupathi IPS fights terrorism in Chennai. After stopping an attack on the Prime Minister, he becomes the target of a vengeful terrorist leader. The villain infiltrates his family by marrying his sister. Sethupathi must save his family and stop a deadly terror plot.
