V. M. Saravanan, also known as AVM Saravanan (born c. 1939, died December 4, 2025), was a prominent Tamil film producer and the head of AVM Productions, the storied Chennai-based studio founded in 1945 by his father A. V. Meiyappan. His production slate spans five decades and includes major hits such as Mundhanai Mudichu (1983), Samsaram Adhu Minsaram (1986), Perazhagan (2004), Sivaji: The Boss (2007), and Leader (2010), winning two Filmfare Awards South during his career. Mundhanai Mudichu, produced after he was personally convinced by director K. Bhagyaraj's live narration of the script, became a silver jubilee blockbuster earning ₹40 million against a ₹3 million budget.
