En Aasai Machan is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by R. Sundarrajan. The lead cast includes Vijayakanth, Murali, Revathi, and Ranjitha. The story follows two parallel love stories: a young college romance between Subramani and Meenakshi, and a decades-long silent sacrifice between Aarusamy and Thayamma. The film is noted for its emotional climax where Aarusamy marries Thayamma's dead body. Revathi won the Cinema Express Award for Best Actress – Tamil for her performance. Storyline
Aarusamy sacrifices his own marriage to raise his younger brother Subramani. Subramani falls in love with Meenakshi and lands in jail trying to prove his love. Meanwhile, Aarusamy's childhood fiancée Thayamma waits silently for decades. When a cruel uncle threatens the family, Thayamma must choose between her love and her duty.
