Kalaignan is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by G. B. Vijay. It stars Kamal Haasan as Indrajith, a pop singer, and Farheen (credited as Bindiya) as Divya. The story follows Indrajith, who becomes the prime suspect when his female fans are murdered. The real killer is his manager, who is jealous of the women's attention. The film features music by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics by Vaali. It received positive reviews but underperformed at the box office, attracting only elite audiences. The film was released on 14 April 1993, Tamil New Year's Day.
