Pandian is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman. The film stars Rajinikanth, Khushbu Sundar, Jayasudha, and Prabhakar. It follows Pandiyan, a CBI officer who returns home undercover to investigate the disappearance of his friend Ashok. The story involves family secrets, a corrupt gangster, and a sister who is a police inspector. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Bombay Dada. It was released on Diwali day, 25 October 1992. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Rajinikanth acted without payment to support the crew's retirement fund.

Storyline
Pandiyan returns to his village after six years. His sister Vijaya, a police inspector, thinks he is a troublemaker. But Pandiyan is secretly a CBI officer looking for his missing friend. He must take down a powerful gangster while hiding his true identity from his own family.
