Thai Poosam(1991)
Thai Poosam is a 1991 Tamil-language devotional family drama directed by Rama Narayanan. The film stars Nassar, Bhanupriya, and Shamili in lead roles. The story follows a mother who makes a sacred vow to the goddess to save her dying daughter, but faces fierce opposition from her wealthy, arrogant husband. Set in a traditional Tamil village, the narrative explores the clash between blind faith and material greed. The film is notable for its strong emotional core and its depiction of the Thai Poosam festival rituals. It was produced by Sri Thenaandal Films with music composed by Shankar–Ganesh. Storyline
