Thyagu(1990)
Thiyagu is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by S. P. Muthuraman. It stars Raghuvaran, Nizhalgal Ravi, and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. The film follows a devoted family man who descends into alcoholism, losing his job, his family, and his dignity. Based on Sivasankari's novel 'Oru Manithanin Kathai', it was produced by AVM Productions. The film was screened for free by the Tamil Nadu government to spread awareness about alcohol addiction. Despite this, it failed commercially and did not win any awards. It was released on 5 October 1990.

Storyline
