Trivia
- The film is a modern-day retelling of the classic Telugu play 'Sasirekha Parinayam', which itself is based on a story from the Mahabharata.
- Director Krishna Vamsi initially planned to cast a different actress for the lead role but eventually chose Swathi Reddy after being impressed by her previous work.
- The movie's soundtrack, composed by M. M. Keeravani, includes a folk song that was recorded live with traditional percussionists to capture authentic energy.
- A key scene where the heroine runs from the wedding was shot at a real marriage hall in Hyderabad, with local extras to create a crowded, realistic feel.
- The film underperformed at the box office, which some industry observers attributed to its release alongside several other major Telugu films that season.
- Costume designers researched traditional Andhra bridal wear to style the protagonist's wedding attire, incorporating specific jewelry and fabric details.
- This was one of the early Telugu films to openly criticize the practice of dowry as a central plot point, rather than just as a minor sub-theme.
