Ashta Chamma(2008)
Ashta Chamma is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti. The film stars Nani, Swathi Reddy, Srinivas Avasarala, and Bhargavi in lead roles. The story follows four quirky characters whose lives become entangled due to an obsession with the name 'Mahesh'. Lavanya refuses to marry anyone unless his name is Mahesh, leading her neighbor Anand to find a man named Mahesh. That man is actually Rambabu, a village leader living a double life in Hyderabad. The film is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest. It received positive reviews for its witty dialogues and strong performances. Swathi Reddy won the Filmfare Award and Nandi Award for Best Actress for her role. The film was a commercial success and is considered a cult classic in Telugu cinema. Storyline
Lavanya is obsessed with marrying a man named Mahesh. Her neighbor Anand finds a charming man called Mahesh in a bar. But Mahesh is actually Rambabu, a village leader who escapes to the city for freedom. When Lavanya discovers his real name, chaos erupts. Anand also falls for Rambabu's sister, who loves the same name. Lies and confusion threaten everyone's happiness.
