Devadasu(2006)
Devadasu is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed and produced by Y. V. S. Chowdary. It stars Ram Pothineni and Ileana D'Cruz in their debut roles, with Sayaji Shinde in a supporting role. The story follows Devdas, a poor Indian student, who falls in love with Bhanumati, the daughter of a wealthy New York senator. Her father opposes their relationship and takes her back to the US, forcing Devdas to travel to America to win her back. The film was a commercial success, grossing around ₹40 crore, and ran for over 175 days in theatres. It won Filmfare Awards for Best Male and Female Debut for Ram and Ileana. The film was released on 11 January 2006.
