
Gangotri(2003)
Gangotri is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, marking his 100th directorial venture. The film stars Allu Arjun and Aditi Agarwal in their debut lead roles, with Prakash Raj, Suman, and Seetha in supporting roles. The story follows Simhadri, the son of a loyal servant, who falls in love with Gangotri, the daughter of a powerful factionist. Their love is threatened by a water curse, family honor, and violent betrayal. The film was produced by C. Aswani Dutt and presented by Allu Aravind under the United Producers banner. Music was composed by M. M. Keeravani. Gangotri received mixed to positive reviews, with praise for its music and performances, and won Allu Arjun the Nandi Award for Best Debut Hero. Storyline
Simhadri, the son of a loyal servant, grows up as the only friend of Gangotri, the daughter of a violent factionist. Their childhood bond turns into forbidden love. When their secret is exposed, Gangotri's father kills Simhadri's father. Simhadri vows to marry Gangotri within a year, setting off a chain of sacrifice and violence that leads to the holy Himalayas.
