Trivia
- The film's title 'Big Boss' was inspired by a popular 1970s BBC TV series of the same name, which was also dubbed in Telugu.
- This was the first collaboration between director Vijaya Bapineedu and Chiranjeevi, who later worked together on the hit film 'Mugguru Monagallu'.
- The movie features a cameo appearance by veteran actor Gummadi, who played a key role in establishing the protagonist's backstory.
- A major fight sequence was shot at the historic Secunderabad Railway Station, requiring special permission to halt train operations briefly.
- The character Madhavi, played by Vijayashanti, was originally written as a more subdued role but was expanded after her strong screen test.
- The film's climax was reshot after initial test screenings, as audiences felt the original ending was too abrupt.
- Composer Raj-Koti reused one of the film's melodies from his earlier Kannada soundtrack, adapting it for a romantic duet in this movie.
