Trivia

  • The film's title 'Money' was inspired by the growing economic liberalisation in India during the early 1990s.
  • Director Siva Nageshwara Rao initially considered a different actor for the male lead before finalising J. D. Chakravarthy.
  • The comedy scenes involving Brahmanandam were largely improvised on set, not strictly from the script.
  • It was one of the early Telugu films to blend a crime plot with situational comedy, a trend that later became popular.
  • The movie's soundtrack, composed by Koti, included a hit song filmed at a then-uncommon resort location.
  • Actress Roja's character was noted for being more proactive than typical heroine roles of that period.
  • The film had a moderate theatrical run but gained a stronger following through television broadcasts in later years.
