
Bodyguard(2011)
Bodyguard is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language romantic action comedy film directed by Siddique. It stars Salman Khan as Lovely Singh, a loyal bodyguard, and Kareena Kapoor as Divya Rana, the politician's daughter he protects. The supporting cast includes Raj Babbar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Pancholi, and Hazel Keech. The story follows Divya, who creates a fake identity named Chhaya to trick Lovely into falling in love with her over the phone, leading to a web of lies that spans years. The film is a remake of Siddique's own 2010 Malayalam film of the same name. It was a major box office success, breaking opening day and week records in India. The music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam, became popular. Bodyguard was released on 31 August 2011, coinciding with the Eid festival.
