The Hangman(2010)
The Hangman is a 2010 Hindi-language crime drama film directed by Vishal Bhandari. It stars Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade, and Gulshan Grover in lead roles. The story follows Shiva Sathe, a village executioner who is ordered to hang his own son after the son is convicted of murder. Set in rural India, the film explores the emotional conflict between professional duty and paternal love. It was produced by Bipin Patel under the Akshar Media banner. The film was shot at Film City in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It had its premiere at the International Film Festival of India in 2005 before its theatrical release in 2010.

Storyline
A village hangman named Shiva Sathe is forced to execute his own college-going son Ganesh. Ganesh is sentenced to death for accidentally killing a local thug. Shiva must choose between his duty as an executioner and his love as a father. He risks everything to save his son's life.
