Anjana Ali Khan is an Indian film director and writer who works in Tamil cinema, best known for directing the 2011 Tamil crime action film Veppam, her directorial debut. Veppam, produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Nani (in his Tamil debut) and Nithya Menen, was shot over 46 days in Chennai and marked her as one of the few women directors in Kollywood at the time. She developed her craft as an assistant director under Gautham Vasudev Menon, including work on the 2006 thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. She has since directed Palaandu Vaazhga (2018) and Vettri (2021), continuing to work as a writer-director in Tamil film.
