Udhayan (born S. B. Ramadoss, 1966, Perunali village, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu) is a Tamil cinema director and screenwriter best known for helming vigilante and action films. He made his directorial debut with Perarasu (2006), a vigilante action film starring Vijayakanth in dual roles, in which a CBI officer investigates the disappearance of a judge and exposes corrupt police officials. Beyond directing, Udhayan has contributed as a screenwriter on multiple horror-comedy films for director Sundar C, including Aranmanai, Aambala, and Aranmanai 2. His second directorial outing, Aayudham Seivom (2008), continued his focus on socially driven drama within Tamil cinema.
