Biography
Kannan is a Tamil film music composer based in Chennai who began his career as a guitarist before spending a decade composing music for approximately 600 commercials through filmmaker C. S. Amudhan's agency. He made his film debut with the satirical parody Thamizh Padam (2010), directed by Amudhan, for which he won the Best Debut Music Director award at the inaugural Vijay Music Awards (2011) and the Upcoming Music Composer award at Mirchi Music Awards South 2011 for the song 'O Maha Zeeya'. He has primarily collaborated with director C. S. Amudhan, composing music for Thamizh Padam 2 (2018), Rendavathu Padam (2014), and Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kaadhalum (2014), establishing a niche in Tamil comedy and parody cinema.
