• Suseenthiran cast Jayaprakash in Rajapattai (2011) after seeing him in a small role in a TV serial. The director later admitted he took a risk because Jayaprakash had zero film experience at the time.
• On the set of Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer (2013), Suseenthiran let Jayaprakash rewrite his own dialogue in colloquial Tamil. The actor's natural delivery turned a supporting role into the film's most quoted character.
• The success of Genius (2018) directly launched Jayaprakash as a lead actor in Tamil cinema. Before that, Suseenthiran had only cast him in supporting roles — the film's hit status changed how other directors saw him.
