• They first met on the set of Karuppampatti (2013) — but not as co-stars. Devadarshini was already cast, and M.S. Bhaskar was brought in last minute to replace another actor who dropped out. He walked in, read one line, and the director decided to expand his role on the spot.
• In 36 Vayathinile (2015), Bhaskar played Devadarshini's on-screen husband. The director later said Bhaskar deliberately underplayed every scene opposite her — he wanted her character's frustration to feel real. Devadarshini admitted she had to ask him to stop being so quiet because it was making her genuinely angry.
