• Sumanth was a newcomer when Kota Srinivasa Rao agreed to play his father in Yuvakudu (2000). The veteran later admitted he only took the role because the script reminded him of his own early struggles.
• In Satyam (2003), Kota Srinivasa Rao deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every scene with Sumanth. He told the director that Sumanth's natural rhythm needed space to breathe — and that small adjustment made their father-son confrontation the film's most talked-about scene.
