
Yuvakudu(2000)
Yuvakudu (transl. Young man) is a 2000 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by A. Karunakaran. The film stars Sumanth as Siva and introduces Bhumika Chawla as Sindhu, alongside Jayasudha as Padmavati. The story follows a college student who secretly dreams of joining the army like his late father, while navigating a complicated marriage arranged by his mother. The film was produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and N. Sudhakar Reddy. It won two Nandi Awards, including Best Character Actress for Jayasudha and a Special Jury Award for Nagarjuna. The climax is based on a real incident in Coimbatore. Despite critical acclaim, the film failed at the box office. It was released on May 18, 2000.

Storyline
Siva is a happy college student who hides a big dream from his mother: he wants to join the army like his father. When he falls for Sindhu, she rejects him. His mother befriends Sindhu and convinces her to marry Siva. Love grows slowly, but Siva's army dream threatens to tear the family apart.
