- On the sets of Vedhalam (2015), Thambi Ramaiah would deliberately flub his lines in the first take to make Siva laugh. Siva then used that real irritation in the final cut — the scene where his character yells at Thambi's character is actually him yelling at the real Thambi for messing up.
- The success of Viswasam (2019) directly led to Siva casting Thambi Ramaiah in his next project Annaatthe (2021) — but that film marked the end of their run. After Annaatthe flopped, Siva stopped writing comedy tracks for sidekicks altogether, killing the trend they had started together.
- During Vivegam (2017) shoot in Bulgaria, Thambi Ramaiah couldn't handle the cold weather. Siva personally gave him his own jacket every morning before call time. Thambi still has that jacket and says he won't return it until they make another film together.
