• Reena Roy was the bigger star when they first worked together in Dharam Kanta (1982). Satyendra Kapoor was cast as her father — a role he played so often that directors just assumed he'd be the dad. She later said she pushed for him to get more screen time in their second film.
• In Karishmaa (1984), Kapoor played a blind man who doesn't realize Reena Roy is his long-lost daughter. The entire emotional weight of the climax rests on their two faces — no dialogue, just Kapoor's trembling hands and Roy's silent tears. That scene is the only reason anyone remembers that film.
• On the sets of Do Waqt Ki Roti (1988), Reena Roy was already planning her exit from films (she retired the same year). Satyendra Kapoor, who was 25 years older, spent hours trying to talk her out of it. She didn't listen. They never worked together again.
