• Rajamouli didn't want NTR for Student No.1. He thought the young actor was too raw. NTR begged for a screen test, did one scene, and Rajamouli changed his mind on the spot.
• On Simhadri sets, Rajamouli realized NTR could switch from comic to intense in a single cut. He started writing longer, unbroken shots just to let NTR's face do the work. That film made both of them household names in Andhra.
• Yamadonga's success directly inspired the Tamil film Muni (2007) to go darker with its comedy-horror mix. The producer of Muni admitted in an interview that Rajamouli's tone in Yamadonga showed how to balance laughs with a supernatural plot.
• During RRR's shoot, NTR would call Rajamouli at 2 AM to discuss a single line of dialogue. Rajamouli never once ignored the call. He said later, 'If he's awake thinking about it, I should be awake listening.'
• Rajamouli once said: 'NTR doesn't act. He becomes. I just point the camera at him and stay out of his way.' He said this during a behind-the-scenes interview for RRR.
• In Yamadonga, Rajamouli deliberately gave NTR no rehearsal for the climax monologue. He wanted the exhaustion and anger to feel real. NTR did it in one take, then collapsed. That scene is still used in acting workshops across Telugu cinema.
