Student No.1 is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by S.S. Rajamouli in his feature film debut. The film stars N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Gajala, and Rajeev Kanakala. The story follows Aditya, a young man serving a life sentence in jail, who gets permission to attend a law college in Visakhapatnam. He faces opposition from unruly students led by Satya while trying to reform the campus. The film explores themes of redemption, father-son relationships, and the power of education. It was one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2001, collecting a share of ₹12 crore. The soundtrack, composed by M.M. Keeravani, won a Nandi Award for Best Male Playback Singer. The film was later remade in Tamil as Student Number 1 in 2003.

Storyline
Aditya is a convicted murderer serving a life sentence in jail. He gets special permission to attend a law college in Vizag. His goal is to reform the violent students and win back his father's love. But the college bully Satya and a dangerous criminal named Samba Sivam stand in his way.
