• Pandu and Livingston first met on the set of 'Pattukku Naan Adimai' (1990) because the director needed a comedian who could also sing. Livingston was a singer first, Pandu was a writer-actor. The director literally asked Livingston to try comedy on the spot.
• In 'Charlie Chaplin' (2002), Pandu wrote the dialogues while Livingston delivered them. Pandu later said Livingston had a knack for taking his written lines and adding a pause or a stammer that made the joke land harder. They never rehearsed — they just fed off each other's timing on the first take.
• After 'Charlie Chaplin' flopped, Pandu and Livingston didn't speak for nearly a decade. They only patched things up in 2015 when a mutual friend forced them into the same room. That conversation led directly to 'Jeyikkira Kuthira' (2017).
• Livingston once told a magazine: 'Pandu writes comedy like he's fighting a war — every line is a weapon. I just had to point it at the right target.'
