• Sreekanth and Subha first worked together in 'Idhayam Parkiradhu' (1974) because the director, A. C. Tirulokchandar, specifically paired them after seeing their individual screen tests — he felt neither could carry the film alone, but together they'd balance the romantic tension.
• In 'Raja Nagam' (1974), Subha's character was written as a mute village girl, so Sreekanth had to carry all the dialogue-heavy scenes — but he insisted on rehearsing every scene with her using hand signals, so her silence became a powerful counterpoint to his loud, emotional outbursts.
