Eduppar Kai Pillai(1975)
Eduppar Kai Pillai is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Vijayan and written by Thooyavan. The cast includes P. Bhanumathi, Jaishankar, Vennira Aadai Nirmala, and Kumari Manjula. The story follows a simple farmer whose blind trust makes him a target for a greedy woman who marries him to steal his property. The film was shot in Bangalore and Mysore. Music was composed by M. B. Sreenivasan with lyrics by Kannadasan. Critics praised the performances of Bhanumathi, M. R. R. Vasu, and Vennira Aadai Nirmala, as well as the humour from Manorama and Surulirajan. The film was a box office failure but later inspired the 1978 film Sattam En Kaiyil. It was released on 19 September 1975.
