• Jaiganesh was a popular TV host when S. A. Chandrasekhar spotted him. The director cast him in 'Innisai Mazhai' (1992) without a proper screen test — just a gut feeling. That film became Jaiganesh's debut as a lead hero.
• Chandrasekhar wrote Jaiganesh's dialogue in a very rhythmic, almost musical style. Jaiganesh had to match that beat while delivering lines — it forced him to develop a unique cadence that no other director got out of him.
