Naalaiya Theerpu is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. It stars Vijay in his debut as a leading actor, alongside Keerthana, Easwari Rao, and Srividya. The story follows Mahalakshmi, a woman abused by her wealthy husband Arun Mehta, and her son Vijay who grows up seeking revenge. The film features music composed by M. M. Srilekha, credited as Manimekalai at age 12. It was released on 4 December 1992 to mostly negative reviews and became a box-office bomb. Despite this, Vijay won the Cinema Express Award for Best New Face Actor for his performance.

Storyline
Mahalakshmi suffers daily abuse from her unfaithful husband Arun Mehta. She raises her son Vijay alone, teaching him to be strong. As an adult, Vijay decides to take revenge on his father for the pain he caused his mother. He fights against his father's power and money to deliver justice.
