• Robo Shankar wasn't the first choice for Viswasam. The role of the comic sidekick was originally written for another actor who backed out last minute. Prabhu personally recommended Robo Shankar to director Siva, saying he'd nail the timing.
• In Mannar Vagera, Prabhu and Robo Shankar had a running gag where Robo Shankar would finish Prabhu's sentences — but always get them wrong. Prabhu would then correct him with a deadpan stare. That bit was entirely improvised on set after Robo Shankar accidentally interrupted a take.
• During the shoot of Puli, Robo Shankar was struggling with stage fright in front of Vijay's massive fan crowd. Prabhu pulled him aside before a key scene and told him: 'Just look at me. Forget everyone else. We're just two actors in a room.' Robo Shankar has said that calmed him down instantly.
• The success of their comic track in Viswasam directly led to Robo Shankar getting his own solo comedy film, LKG (2019). Producers specifically cited the 'Prabhu-Robo combo' as proof that he could carry a film's humour without a superstar.
• Robo Shankar once said in an interview: 'Prabhu sir doesn't just act with you — he listens to you. Most senior actors just deliver their lines and walk off. He waits for my reaction, adjusts his pause. That's why our scenes feel like a conversation.'
