Puli(2015)
Puli is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language fantasy action adventure film directed by Chimbu Deven. The film stars Vijay in a dual role as Marudheeran and his father Pulivendhan, alongside Sridevi, Prabhu, Sudeep, Shruti Haasan, and Hansika Motwani. The story follows Marudheeran, a brave young man who discovers he is half-human and half-demon, as he fights against the cruel demon rulers of Vedhalapuram to rescue his kidnapped wife. The film features visual effects by PhantomFx and music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Puli received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, who praised the cast performances and visual effects but criticized the screenplay. The film was screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival in Japan. It was released worldwide on 1 October 2015 in Tamil, with dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam released the following day.
