• In 'Chandee' (2013), Ashish Vidyarthi played the cold villain while Ali provided comic relief. Their scenes together worked because Ali would deliberately flub his lines to make Ashish break character — and Ashish would then improvise a harsher retort, making the comedy feel real.
• Ali once said in an interview that Ashish Vidyarthi was the only co-star who would call him before every shoot to discuss the scene's comedy timing — even if Ali had just one line. They'd rehearse over the phone for 20 minutes.
