Gundu Hanumantha Rao (10 October 1956 – 19 February 2018) was a Telugu film, theatre, and television actor born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, who appeared in over 600 Telugu films across a career spanning three decades. He began as a stage drama artist at age 18 with his first drama 'Ravana Bramha', debuting in cinema with Jandhyala's Aha Naa Pellanta (1987) and later gaining widespread recognition through comedian roles in films directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy, including Yamaleela (1994) and Golmaal (2003). He is especially remembered for portraying the character Anjaneyulu in the long-running Telugu television serial Amrutham, for which he won three TV Nandi Awards from the Andhra Pradesh Government. His final years saw him continue working in films such as Chandee (2013) before his passing in February 2018.
