• Sachin and Sarika first worked together as child actors in the 1970 film 'Jai Jawan Jai Makan' — but their first adult pairing in 'Jaan-E-Bahaar' (1979) happened because the director saw them at a party and thought they looked like 'a real couple'.
• In 'Geet Gaata Chal' (1980), Sachin was the more experienced actor on set, so he deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Sarika's natural rhythm — she later said that made her feel 'safe enough to cry on cue'.
• During the shoot of 'Raksha Bandhan' (1980), Sachin and Sarika would rehearse their scenes in the car on the way to the set — and they kept doing that even after the film wrapped, just to hang out.
