• Priyadarshan cast Kareena Kapoor in 'Hulchul' (1995) when she was just 15 and had zero acting experience. She was a schoolgirl who got the role because her uncle, actor Randhir Kapoor, asked the director to give her a break.
• On the set of 'Kyon Ki' (2005), Priyadarshan realized Kareena was struggling with the heavy emotional scenes. He started giving her one-word cues before each take — like 'betrayal' or 'loss' — to trigger the exact expression he needed. She later said that trick unlocked her performance.
• The success of 'Chup Chup Ke' (2006) directly led to Priyadarshan casting Kareena in his next comedy 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' (2007) — which became a cult classic and launched the 'horror-comedy' trend in Bollywood. Without their easy rapport on 'Chup Chup Ke', that film might never have happened.
