Kyon Ki(2005)
Kyon Ki is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Priyadarshan. The film stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Rimi Sen, and Om Puri. It follows Anand, a mental hospital patient whose tragic past draws female doctor Tanvi close to him, challenging her beliefs and her authoritarian father who runs the sanatorium. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan's own 1986 Malayalam film Thalavattam, which was inspired by One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It received negative reviews upon release but later gained a cult following for its storyline, performances, and soundtrack. The film was released on 3 November 2005 to coincide with Diwali.

Storyline
Anand Sharma is admitted to a mental hospital after a violent outburst. Dr. Tanvi Khurana, a bitter doctor, initially dislikes him. But when she reads his diary, she discovers his tragic past — he accidentally caused his girlfriend's death. She falls in love with him and helps him recover. But her cruel father will do anything to keep them apart.
