• Mohan was already a star when Magudi (1984) happened. Nadhiya was a newcomer. Director R. Sundarrajan cast them together because he wanted a fresh pair — Mohan's boy-next-door charm with a new face who could match his energy.
• In Uyire Unakkaga (1986), Mohan deliberately slowed down his usual fast-paced dialogue delivery to match Nadhiya's natural, unhurried rhythm. She later said that made their conversations feel real — like they were actually listening to each other.
• During the shoot of Padu Nilavae (1987), Nadhiya and Mohan would rehearse scenes in the car on the way to the set. They never told the director. They just showed up and delivered it in one take. The crew thought they were just good actors.
• Nadhiya once said in an interview: 'Mohan made me feel like I had been acting for ten years. He never treated me like a newcomer. He just said, 'Do what you feel' — and I did.'
• Their pairing in Magudi (1984) was so well-received that it directly led to director R. Sundarrajan casting them again in Uyire Unakkaga (1986). That film became a sleeper hit and is still remembered for its title track — which was picturised entirely on their chemistry.
