Padu Nilavae(1987)
'Paadu Nilave' (transl. Oh Moon, please sing) is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language romantic musical film directed by K. Rangaraj. It stars Mohan as Balakrishnan and Nadhiya as Sangeetha. The story follows a village fan who becomes a famous singer to take revenge on the singer who humiliated him. The film features a supporting cast including Ravichandran, Senthil, and Vennira Aadai Moorthy. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by Vaali. The song 'Malaiyoram Veesum Kaathu' is set in the Carnatic raga Keeravani. The film was released on 15 May 1987 and became a commercial success. It is available for streaming on some platforms.

Storyline
A simple village boy named Balu is a devoted fan of famous singer Sangeetha. When she visits his village, she insults him repeatedly. Heartbroken, Balu vows to become a singer himself and take revenge. He learns music from a mysterious man in jail — who turns out to be his own father. As Balu rises to fame, he must choose between revenge and love.
