• Vinu Chakravarthy wasn't just the male lead in Vandichakkaram (1980) — he also wrote the story. He cast Saritha as the female lead after seeing her in a small role, betting his own script on her.
• In Aani Ver (1981), Saritha and Vinu played a married couple whose scenes together were shot in long, unbroken takes. Vinu later said Saritha's timing forced him to slow down his dialogue delivery — he usually rushed, but she made him listen.
• After Rasave Unnai Nambi (1988), they never worked together again. But Vinu remained a close family friend — he was one of the few people Saritha trusted to discuss her career moves in the 1990s.
