• Vadivelu and Napoleon first shared screen space in 'Maravan' (1993), but neither was the lead. They played supporting roles in a film headlined by Vijayakanth. Nobody expected this random pairing to become a cult combo.
• In 'Muthu Kaalai' (1995), Vadivelu’s frantic comic timing forced Napoleon to play the straight man with a deadpan face. Napoleon later admitted he had to resist laughing during takes, which made his angry cop act feel more real.
