• Revathi was already a star when she agreed to do Agaya Thamaraigal (1985). Jaiganesh was a relative newcomer. She personally asked the director to cast him after seeing his screen test — she felt he had the right 'vulnerable intensity' for her character's love interest.
• On the set of Arangetra Velai (1990), Revathi would deliberately flub her lines in the first take to make Jaiganesh laugh and loosen up. He was famously nervous around her early in their career. She told a magazine later: 'I had to break his tension before we could find the real scene.'
• They never became close friends off-screen. After Meendum Savithri (1996) bombed, they stopped talking entirely. Jaiganesh later admitted in a 2005 interview that he felt 'she blamed me for the film's failure' — though Revathi has never publicly said that.
• Jaiganesh once said about their pairing: 'She was the engine. I was just the passenger. But a passenger who had to steer.' He said this in a 1992 interview with a Tamil weekly, reflecting on why their films felt uneven.
• Their third and final film together, Meendum Savithri (1996), was a remake of a Malayalam hit. But the Tamil version flopped so badly that it killed both their chances of working with each other again — and effectively ended Jaiganesh's run as a lead hero in Tamil cinema.
