• E. V. V. Satyanarayana cast Aryan Rajesh in 'Hai' (2002) after seeing his work in a small role in another film. The director bet on a newcomer with zero star power, and the film became a sleeper hit.
• On the sets of 'Aadanthe Ado Type' (2003), Satyanarayana let Aryan Rajesh improvise most of his comic lines. The director would just set the scene and let the actor riff — a freedom Aryan rarely got with other directors.
• Their 2005 film 'Nuvvante Naakishtam' directly launched the career of actress Genelia D'Souza in Telugu. She was a Mumbai girl with no Telugu knowledge — Satyanarayana and Aryan both coached her on set, and the film made her a star overnight.
