• For 'Motor Sundaram Pillai' (1966), director A. P. Nagarajan wanted a fresh pair. Sivakumar was a newcomer, and Sowcar Janaki was already a star. She agreed to do the film only after Sivakumar personally narrated the script to her at her home — he was so nervous he stumbled through the first ten minutes.
• In 'Uyarndha Manidhan' (1968), Sowcar Janaki deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery to match Sivakumar's natural rhythm. She later told an interviewer that he had a 'raw, honest pause' in his speech, and she adjusted her timing so their arguments felt like real fights, not rehearsed lines.
• During the shoot of 'Deivam' (1972), Sivakumar's wife was pregnant with his first child. Sowcar Janaki would bring homemade snacks for him on set every day, saying he needed to 'eat for two' — a joke that stuck so hard the crew called her 'Anna's second wife' for the rest of the schedule.
• Sowcar Janaki once said about Sivakumar: 'He was the only co-star who would ask me if I was comfortable before every single shot. Not the director, not the cameraman — him. That's why I trusted him on screen.'
• Their pairing in 'Motor Sundaram Pillai' (1966) was so well-received that it directly led to Sivakumar being cast as the male lead in 'Uyarndha Manidhan' (1968) — a film that was originally written for a more established actor. Sowcar Janaki personally recommended him to the producer.
